Gregory H. Cobb

Greg serves as Investment Strategist and Director of Insurance Solutions at Sage. He has over 30 years of experience in managing investment portfolios for both traditional insurance companies and entities within the alternative risk transfer space. Greg began his career in 1987 as a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager for Barnett Banks of Florida. Later, he served as Senior Portfolio Manager for the institutional asset management arms of both SunTrust and Bank of America with a specialization in insurance company portfolio management. From there, he served as Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer for Sovereign Advisers and most prior as Director of Fixed Income and Lead Strategist for Boyd Watterson Asset Management. Greg earned a BS in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is a member of the CFA Institute.
Robert G. Smith
President, Chief Investment Officer
Bob Smith co-founded Sage in 1996 and serves as President and Chief Investment Officer. His investment career began in 1970 and has spanned the globe from New York to London, to Riyadh to Austin, Texas. Bob introduced responsible investing to Sage over a decade ago and has since led the firm’s evolution to today’s emphasis on sustainable investing and the supporting pillars of ESG investing. He is a recognized thought leader and frequent speaker in the space having delivered key addresses at United Nations conferences on Sustainable Development, the UN-supported Principles for Responsible Investing (PRI) forums, and numerous other sustainable investing events. Within the insurance industry, he has been actively engaged with the Society of Financial Examiners (SOFE), the Insurance Accounting & Systems Association (IASA), numerous state regulators as well as captive domiciles and their associations. Bob received his MBA in Finance from the New York University Stern School of Business where he now stands as Executive in Residence in the Sustainable Finance Program. Bob is also an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) and Certified Investment Management Consultant (CIMC).
