Marcia Philpott holds a BBA in Risk Management and Insurance from The University of Texas in Austin and a MBA in Risk Management and Insurance from Georgia State University in Atlanta. She has over twenty five years of experience in the risk management and insurance field working with various corporate risk management groups and on the broker side of the industry. Currently, Marcia is the Manager of Insurance Services at Salt River Project (SRP). SRP is the third largest public power company in the USA and provides water and power in the greater Phoenix area. Marcia has been involved directly in the captive insurance business for over ten years. SRP has an Arizona domiciled single parent captive, SRP Captive Risk Solutions, Ltd. She is a current board member and past President of the Arizona Captive Insurance Association. She is also an active member and past President of the Central Chapter of the Risk and Insurance Management Society.
