About AzCIA

Arizona Captive Insurance Assocation (AzCIA) was formed as an Arizona nonprofit on March 2, 2001. AzCIA was the first association in Arizona formed specifically to support, promote, foster and market Arizona as an attractive and competitive captive insurance domicile.

AzCIA was involved in the early development of Arizona's captive-enabling legislation, Title 20, Chapter 4 and Article 14 of Arizona's Revised Statuses. This legislation, sponsored by Rep. Ted Carpenter, and enthusiastically supported by both AzCIA and the Arizona Department of Insurance, has paved the way for stable and progressive captive environment in Arizona.

Our Mission

The mission of AzCIA is to support, promote, foster and market the position of the state of Arizona as an attractive, competitive, and vital captive insurance domicile, by providing education and networking opportunities for those who operate within the captive insurance industry.

To help meet these objectives, AzCIA provides the means to communicate with others involved in the captive industry, those that may consider forming a captive in the future, and, with other entities such as legislative bodies, whose action may affect the captive industry.
